Diana Thomas
Diana Thomas is a lawyer admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2009 and the Australian High Court in 2010. Based in Adelaide, she began her legal career in private practice before over a decade at the Legal Services Commission South Australia, gaining a reputation for clear, practical legal advice and supporting clients through complex family law and property matters.
As Director of Serenity Legal Pty Ltd, Diana provides expert family law advice, strata and community title law services (including moiety and company title), later life law guidance, and animal law expertise. She is known in Adelaide and South Australia for breaking down complex legal issues into straightforward, practical guidance that helps clients achieve positive outcomes.
Diana has led innovative legal technology projects such as Legal Chat, 24Legal, PhotoLegal, and Amica, aimed at improving access to justice for South Australians. Her work won the IT News Award for Best State Government Project (2020) and was featured in the American Bar Association Journal.
A passionate advocate in animal law, Diana has published multiple articles and chaired the Law Society of South Australia’s Animal Law Committee. Diana regularly contributes to submissions to parliament, both state and federal and has appeared as a witness to SA Parliament joint sub committees on animal welfare reform.
